Test Engineer - Norway

Are you a newly graduated engineer looking for an exciting start to your career, or do you have a few years of experience and are looking for new challenges? The number of orders are increasing, and to the test department in our business unit Maritime & Energy in Horten, we are now looking for more committed and skilled test engineers/test technicians.

In the test department, you will have the opportunity to work broadly and variedly with technically advanced communication systems. Our systems are used on ships and boats, wind turbines and oil and gas installations, and we deliver larger systems to customers all over the world. In collaboration with the project department, the department is responsible for planning, design and configuration, as well as testing and handover to the customer. Our skilled engineers also work closely with other departments to ensure high quality and optimal technical solutions. 

The test team consists of dedicated engineers/technicians of all ages. With us, you will find both new employees and experienced employees with long experience. Your tasks will be:

• Configure, program and test customer-specified systems
• Troubleshooting and correcting any errors before delivery
• Arrange and participate in acceptance test (FAT) before delivery and together with the customer 
• Documentation of the test status of the system deliveries
• Verify technical data and documentation
• Customer support and remote service

We are often asked to carry out verifications on board when replacing larger installations, as well as participation in the start-up of new installations. If you are interested in performing service and like to travel, we make it possible. 

We develop and hold courses both internally and for customers in our systems, and if you have experience as a course instructor, or think it sounds exciting, you will eventually also have the opportunity to do so. The tasks are expanded in line with increasing expertise.

Desired qualifications:

• Technical background and interest, preferably a certificate or bachelor's degree in electronics or electrical subjects
• Relevant experience is an advantage, but we also want to hear from you who are a recent graduate
• Interest in, and preferably knowledge of, telecom/communication systems
• Knowledge of IP networks and swithcer is an advantage

We have English as our working language, and to succeed in this position, you must be able to speak and write Norwegian and English fluently.
