As Head of Engineering, you will be responsible for daily operations, management of project engineers, and drive efficiency, quality, and technical solutions within the department. You will collaborate closely with various departments and stakeholders to ensure coordination and execution of customer projects while managing departmental budgets and resource allocation. The position is reporting to SVP - Product Management and Projects Engineering.
Key responsibilities:
- Daily management of the Engineering Department Horten
- Lead, inspire, and motivate your team
- Plan and assign projects and tasks, including resource allocation to ensure completion according to timeline
- Ensure sufficient competent and appropriate resources at all times
- Develop and maintain progress plans and reports, with monthly update to SVP
- Plan and execute improvement initiatives in cooperation with SVP
- Manage departmental costs within the assigned budget and contribute to budget planning.
- Competence and career development of project engineers in the department
Competence requirements:
- Bachelors or Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering or other relevant technical areas.
- Extensive and relevant work experience can compensate for lack of education
- Solid experience with people- and line management
- Experience with change management is an advantage
- Native level in Norwegian and English, written and oral
