The IPTV Transcoder server is based on standard IPTV Server 8x chassis equipped with four dual transcoder card. The device can process 8x HD (up to 1080i) or 16 SD streams, which includes encoding into MPEG-2 or H.264, transcoding from MPEG-2 to H.264 or vice versa, changing picture resolution, frame rate, etc. The output can be sent to the network as Multicast (UDP) or Unicast (HTTP) streams.
