The Vingtor-Stentofon CMS is a very flexible and powerful IP DECT Alarm and Message handler.  CMS receives, handles and distributes alarm, messages and other data streams for generating customer specific and understandable messaging solutions. The structure of the CMS is scalable and is easy to add new features by loading a new license.

The features in our IP DECT Alarm and Message system are built up of different processes that do different tasks. All processes in the  Vingtor-Stentofon CMS are available and configurable but each process will need its license before they will operate. The license is unique for each Vingtor-Stentofon CMS server or virtual installation.

The smartcom process is an interface for the SMART1 products as for example the SMART1 AP and the SMART1 handsets.  A smartcom process communicates with the SMART1 AP base station and/or directly with the SMART1 handsets over WiFi. The communication interface enables the CMS to send and receive messages to and from a handset as well as supervising the base stations.

The  Vingtor-Stentofon  IP DECT Alarm and Message system  has some hardware  limitations. There can be up to 29 processes running in one CMS.  If the system   needs more instances of a process that is limited by hardware resources then there is the possibility to   connect more CMS’s to each other over the IP network and route the messages transparently between the CMS’s.
