Zenitel’s Station Announcement Point (SAP03) paging microphone is purpose-built for both interior or exterior public areas, such as train station platforms, to enable local announcements. It is housed in a robust, IP65-rated, vandal resistant, wall-mounted, lockable enclosure and integrates seamlessly with Zenitel’s PAVA Audio Routers.

The microphone features a flexible fist microphone with an integrated Push-to-Talk (PTT) button and a 10-button panel. The buttons can be used to select zones for live announcements or to trigger pre-configured ‘recorded messages’. Each button is equipped with three LEDs that indicate the following depending on the systems configuration, when a button (zone) is selected, when a zone is in use (busy), when a VA announcement is in progress, or if a fault condition is
detected.

To ensure system integrity, the microphone generates a low-frequency surveillance tone to continuously monitor the audio connection to the Audio Router. The microphone capsule is monitored by injecting and analyzing a signal, ensuring any open or short circuits in the capsule or associated wiring trigger a fault indication. Additionally, the Audio Router monitors the data connection and reports any local alarms.
